The 2008 ATFA Education Conference and Timber Flooring Exhibition will be held on Thursday, 9th and Friday, 10th October, 2008 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

The ATFA 2008 Convention will be open to the trade:

12.00 noon to 6.30 pm on Thursday 9th October 2008
12.00 noon to 4.00pm on Friday 10th October 2008

National Conference Hours

The 2008 National Timber Flooring Conference will be held in the Bay 19 of the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

Getting to the 2008 ATFA Convention at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre

By Air

Qantas Airlines and Virgin Blue Airlines fly direct to Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport, approximately 25 minutes from Melbourne's CBD. Jetstar flys direct to Avalon Airport which is approximately 40 minutes from Melbourne's CBD.

Airport Shuttle Bus

Skybus

Skybus offers a shuttle bus service from the airport to Melbourne CBD and city hotels. This service operates 7 days a week.

Buses run every 10-15 minutes throughout the day and every 30-60 minutes overnight. The Skybus Hotel Shuttle operates from the city 0600-2200 Monday to Friday and 0730-1830 Saturday and Sunday.

Adult one way tickets cost $16 / $26 return and tickets can be purchased and printed online through the Skybus website.

By Car

The superb location of the Melbourne Exhibition Centre means it is easily accessed by the city's roadways and freeways. The City Link connects the centre with the airport in just 20 minutes. The centre is also serviced by six parking areas suitable for public, exhibitor and bus parking with additional parking available within walking distance of the centre.

All Exhibitors are encouraged to park in the Freeway Carpark, entry from Munro Street. Pay and Display ticketing machines are located at the entry to both the Freeway Carpark. Correct change is required for these units. Please note that the Melbourne Exhibition Centre and its Carparks are "gazetted" areas with City of Melbourne parking infringements applying.

The Melbourne Exhibition Centre Basement Carpark has a number of ticketing pay machines located within the Carpark adjacent to Entry Doors 1, 6, 8 and 10. Any enquiries please call the MCEC Car Park office (03) 9235 8322.

Temporary External Carpark

Carparking around the external west end of the Melbourne Exhibition Centre will be affected by the development of the new Convention Centre. The River Carpark and Freeway Carpark (at Munro Street) will have reduced capacity spaces. Wilson will provide parking in the Clarke St carpark at the rates provided in the Freeway Munro St carpark.
